Selsey is amongst the highest 30% of deprived communities in the UK. Families may face many challenges with both unemployment and low paid jobs, with young people potentially experiencing low aspiration. Selsey also has a high number of older residents, some facing health issues and with dementia a key challenge. The geographical location of Selsey means that people without access to transport have the potential to be isolated. This isolation can impact all age groups. Arts Dream Selsey addresses these problems through focusing on particular issues and developing special projects to involve all sections of our community.
