Founded in 2021 by Martin Elliott and John Dickson, The Gramophone Society is an informal gathering of music enthusiasts for the recordings of former times.
After 34 scintillating meetings, Selsey Gramophone Society enters its 4th year promoting, playing and discussing audio recordings of all music and speech genres in their traditional formats, namely 78s, 45s, vinyl, cassette and CD, using the Society’s own acquired equipment. We have a host of new presenters this year too, so come along, give them some support and learn something new!
Anyone is welcome to attend. There is no membership charge, and no obligation to attend regularly or to present. If you want, just listen.
Members are welcome to make their own presentations at future meetings,
and to make suggestions for the development of the Society.
The bar is open from 12pm for tea, coffee and other beverages.
Please come along and join us. Bring a friend too. We look forward to hearing your presentations, your stories and your wonderful choice of recordings.
