a week at either St Wilfrid’s Church Hall or St Peter’s Church Hall.
Designed as a space for artists of all levels to explore their creativity and practise drawing and painting, but mostly for Selsey creatives to meet with like minds and enjoy themselves. Gary Sharp the group's organiser also arranges regular workshops with professional artists to help attendees improve their skills. Each year our artists show their work in Selsey's very own affordable art fair on the August Bank Holiday Weekend
Coming up in 2024 we have some very special artists coming to Selsey, workshops are open to both members (£35) and non-members (£40).

Open to artists of all abilities, we run three different classes each week. You can join more than one class a week if you wish, you will need to supply your own materials. Our classes run throughout the year, so why not get started on a new hobby or brush up some of your skills and join our lovely group of enthusiastic amateur artists in Selsey to swap tips and ideas to improve your skills in a supportive environment.
Classes cost £3 per session.

A huge thank you to everyone who visited our Annual Art Exhibition in August
So many of you bought beautiful original art works and handmade jewellery, all created by local artists.
With around 30 exhibitors and an astonishing 200+ items for sale, from paintings through glass works to individually created greetings cards we were delighted to offer so much variety for sale.
If you think you'd like to join an art class and perhaps put your own work on display next year then take a look at our Art Classes.
They run on different days, at different times of the week, there's bound to be one to suit your lifestyle.
Art Workshops
Join one of our workshops run by professional artists to hone your skills and learn new methods of painting
Each year we organise Art workshops with professional Artists from around the country. We try to find artists in different disciplines from oils to watercolour, contemporary and traditional. The aim is to provide our class members with new ideas and skill sets. Our artists get to try out these new skills under the nurturing eye of a professional.
Our workshops are open to everyone.
Tickets cost:
£35 for members
£40 for non-members

Rick Holmes – Multi Media
Rick specialises in painting “plein air” using a loose realistic style with very varied subjects ranging from marine/river scenes to landscapes and portraits
16th November
Frans De Leij
Watercolour
Frans is particularly attracted to painting in watercolour, especially the use of wet into wet techniques where wet paint is flooded onto a wet surface.
